A few things of note about the cruise. The food is great! They offer us a main dish and a few side dishes each meal. They have provided us wet suits which are nice as the water is cool in some places and it helps you float easier. They also provided snorkel gear, however, Dave & I have brought our own.
They've got the process of getting on and off the ship on the pangas down to a science. They've taught us the "Galapagos Grip" which means you grab at the wrist vs just hands while they help you get from one boat to the other.
It's pretty hot most days - three of our hikes were very hot. We've done our best to wear long sleeves or put on lots of sunscreen and wear hats, Buffs, and such.
The crew is fabulous. They take great care of us and keep us safe. I love that when we come back from hot hikes or exhausting snorkeling, there is a snack and fresh juice waiting for us. And towels.
Just so you know I'm still very appreciative of things! I just haven't been able to make the time to write my list in each day's blog between activities and short naps to try and regain energy. The days are full and very rewarding. I think each day is the most amazing but the next day just seems to top it somehow.
Appreciation List:
-- Shade! (Sone of these islands shade is few and far between)
-- Fresh fruit (we get multiple options of it every day)
